Maybe players should ask gaming related magazines/websites to investigate what is going at the KT Racing - Kylotonn?

Why don't gaming related magazines and websites ask themselves questions like:

Why hasn't the developer or its parent company supported the gaming community better?
What exactly is the problem with developing the game to feel like players want it to feel?
Is there still problems between the developing company and its parent company that affect the developing of the game?
Do some in the developing team somehow disagree how the game is being developed or what it is supposed to become?
Are players sometimes the ones, who understand something fundamentally wrong?
Are players sometimes those, who think that they know something is very wrong in the game, but they misunderstood something rather completely?
Should some players give the game more playtime than e.g. 4 hours before becoming too judging?

..and then go find some answers to them? Wouldn't you be interested in what is going on?

When Ibiza became available to drive around, only a few sites wrote about it: CarThrottle, Operation Sports, Traxion, PCGamesN and Pure Xbox. Before that at least 47 reviews were written and published on the Internet (mostly on September) in English. There were also few reviews written in other languages (e.g. at least 7 in Finnish).

Some sites wrote articles focusing on some specific matter like "server issues, compensations", "roadmaps, upcoming features", "in-game decion makings, comparisons" and "graphics settings, performance". Few opinions, too. I counted 51 that were written in English.

Many comments toward the game has for long been something similar to (X):

"Game's dead already"
"Finally deleted it today lol"
"desperation has started"
"scammers, f off"
"The game really needs a major graphical update"
"we dont care about liveries my god we want good online and maps"
"is ranked fixed?"
"So glad I didn't buy this"
"fix the game"
"I hope you pull this garpage from the stores and redevelop it again."
"This game is dead, no one is ever online when I go on"
"There is absolutely nothing about graphics optimization, which are truly horrible"

and (Facebook):

"first fix the game and then offer it [for free to play for some time]. i can't still play ranked races because the server can't connect players."
"First fix the game completely because this post looks ridiculous as it is"
"These boys are scrambling at this point to try and kick start this dead game"
"Your game is a joke. Only way to save it is to give us buyable properties now."
"It's improved - but the graphics, stability and physics still need work."

Rhetorically asking: Do those really reflect the current state of the game? Are any of those comments fair? Accurate? Are they missing something relevant?

Just few hours before writing this I gave the game another change. I already knew what acceptable graphics settings to use to make the game run smoothly. I drove around, played few races and it felt like I was playing a rather decent game. Except that there were no other players, of course.

Certainly it might feel to some that the game is annoyingly demanding as many are forced to tweak graphics settings before the game can feel playable.

My PC has Ryzen 7 5800x, Radeon RX 6800, Corsair Vengeance LPX (32 GB, 3200 Mhz) and WD Black SN770 (2 Tt M.2 NVMe), meaning that it can easily run e.g. Cyberpunk 2077 with all the graphics settings set to their max (without ray tracing) together with 1440p resolution without using any kind of upscaling, but the game like Stalker 2 requires to using both, the FSR and the frame generation, if I want to keep all the graphics settings to their max and keep playing at 60 fps.

Does that mean the Stalker 2 is "badly optimized" game, because Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown doesn't run equally well as, say, Forza Horizon 5? In some games I don't mind at all if I have to use FSR as e.g. Remnant II looks and feels awesome even with it.

This time I used 1080p resolution on my 32" monitor instead of the 1440p that I regularly use to play the Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown and other games. It wasn't very complicated to make it run at rather constant 60 fps by first setting all the graphics settings to their max and then adjusting lightning quality, shadow quality and global illumination to be "high". There might be few areas wherein setting vegetation quality to "high" instead of "ultra" should be preferred. I also could keep FSR 2's temporal anti-aliasing enabled. In AMD Software's settings almost everything was disabled or off like freesync, enhanced sync and frame generation.

I admit that on 1080p resolution vegetation quality doesn't always look good enough even when it is set to "ultra". Playing on 1440p would fix that.

I do wonder why some races don't have music at all, but I choose to not make comments about e.g. capabilities of the AI drivers. At the hotel the game informed me that there are some server issues, but that didn't have affect to anything. It takes about 40 seconds from launching the game to actually begin driving a car in it. No problems in logging in, no game crashes and no strange graphical artifacts.

Didn't feel like a game that is still in "early access" phase, so maybe it would deserve a nudge in the popularity of it?

Maybe it should be you, who contacts some of the gaming related magazines or news sites and asks them to "do something" like asking those questions I mentioned earlier and then go do some investigating? Would e.g. IGN or PCGamesN be meaningful enough? VentureBeat? GamesIndustry.biz?

Probably many others too find it hard to understand why doesn't Kylotonn seem to want to grow their user base. At the moment of writing the Steam charts show that the 24-hour peak is 270 players, which is kind of silly (or sad): https://steamdb.info/app/1249970/charts/
