Worth buying?

Hi there, I'm not a nostalgia-player and haven't really played TDU. Only Played Forza Horizon 1-5, GT 1-7, Forza Motorsport, BeamNG and some NFS games + recent Motorfest.

I didn't enjoy FH5 all that much because the map feels and looks... Boring. In my opinion FH4 was much more pretty. However, I really enjoy Motorfest. Yeah, cars feel somewhat bad on the road, but islands are insteresting to explore, cars sound nice, and my son just enjoys every moment here.

So, about Solar Crown. I'm not competetive racing player, kust like chill drives. Game had a bad start, but is it better now? My PC is more than enough to play it

It is not. Having always-online with lackluster gameplay is not worth purchase.

With that system and a compatible set of wheel and pedals, you will very much enjoy TDUSC, especially the car handling. At level 20, you'll be able to tune cars discretely which will greatly enhance the experience as well.

With only 2 stars out of 5, it is shown that not even consoles can save a bad game like TDUSC.

I am like you @nurlan2007944 and got Gold cheap cdkey from GMG few days back. I have 7800X3D & 4080super and it looks fantastic running smooth 84fps Ultra+High settings on LG 45 Oled 800R curve 1440p. Awesome fun and well worth it. Ignore the Haters, just do it ! Oh and my Qubic BT1 belt tensioner is recognised and feels great in TDUSC ... Bonus !

They are a weird breed. Months after the game released and failed to meet THEIR expectations, they now spend their lives on these forums spewing bile and hatred that is totally beyond reasonable.

TDU1/2 must've been some amazingly awesome games for their butt hurt to be so intense and prolonged.

Definitely a buy while on sale. If you like cars, racing & having fun ! I only got into it a week ago and TDU SC is waaay way better by miles than what I was led to believe by the sad joyless mob.

did they release an overhaul of the game ? i dont recall seeing them announce doing so much work to fix the handling ? did they balance the cars in the classes as well or is racing in anything other than the "meta" car pointless ?? do some AI still take corners at impossible speeds while others spin off into the trees for no good reason ??

the map is okay at best ... and its small ...

The Crew 2 would be a much better recommendation for someone that just wants to drive around and have fun cruising ... my son loves TC2 more than NFS heat / FH5 or TDU:SC ... heck he likes farming sim more than TDU:SC just for driving around on ...

They claim to have improved AI behavior, but it's still pretty bad.

But they also made AI slower so now non-META cars are more viable than before. Plus it seems like there was some car (re)balancing work done, maybe Fwyflyer can tell more about that.

And what was wrong with handling? Anyway, I saw a few comments that cars feel better after the patch, but I'm not sure if there was anything in the patch about that so why would it change. Maybe it's only for certain cars.
