Whats the performance like?

Played the beta back in June and the game ran terribly while looking like an early PS4 game. Has the performance been improved at all?

This game has been an absolute dumpster fire since release, lag, ridiculous loading times.

Long loading screens, amazing graphics BUT with max 60 fps when stopped and with luck because when driving it drops to 16 or max 35 so its bad.

Optimized like crap, there is NO reason it should be running as poorly as it does when it looks like it does.

the game is still crashing frequently and at some of the most inopportune moments.

Not to mention that if you don't have a NASA grade computer, the game either won't run, or run like an Xbox 360 trying to play Red Dead Redemption 2.

You're welcome, I just saved you some money. I'm sure the few fanboys will come in and tell you it runs great, but there's plenty more where these recent quotes came from.

Forgive me, but I'll add my own quote...

My system specs - i9-13900KF, Asus ROG 4090.

If you have the hardware, you should be fine. I get the feeling optimisation for lower spec may not be great.

If unsure - buy it - try it - if not up to your expectations, refund within 2H.

Or just blindly listen to those who have been butt hurt since day 1.

As you can see OP the fanboy arrived and you now know what you need to run this game silky smooth... a graphics card that costs around $2500. As the reviews say... this game isn't optimized at all, if you don't have a decent gfx card that costs at least at least $1000, but preferably 3 times as much, you won't have a great experience with this game.

I agree with the fanboy though, the best thing is buy it, try it and make sure you stay within the 2 hour limit. If it runs well, hurray... if not you've wasted your time. just like I did and many others with me.

Personally, I would wait until Season 3 is released. The developers claim they are going to go in a different direction with Season 3 and address the issues and shortcomings this game has. If that is indeed true, then the game might be better and optimized after Season 3.

Judging by people's feedback, performance did generally improve with patches, but the game still runs poorly for how it looks.

i have a 4070 and the graphics are horrible, for as much as i tune the game, i cant get 50 fps stable, on FH5 i get over 130, this game is very poorly optimized.

you can patch and patch and patch again, the KT engine cant deal with a open world... badly optimized and ugly (for ppl with 2000$ on their machine)

you can wait season 3 season 4 season 5 season 1000

the result will be the same.

at this point they should re open tdu2, ppl are not graphics focused, but when a game is ugly and run badly there is no hope to reach 1k players.

I'm sure the performance must be a bit better than when we played the beta, well I'd expect it to be anyway. The beta was really bad and the reason I haven't purchased yet either.

I come here from time to time to see what game owners are saying and it still isn't look good. 14900k + 4080s

But you're right. I'm a RAGING FANBOI! Also, Team KT pay me money every time I post on these forums. That's why I'm always so positive about this game. Defo not because it's actually good and you lot just love to complain.
