A boring racing game?

I just wanted to ask has anyone else gotten bored of this game because I sure did and first major patch didn't help much with breaking more stuff.

The only thing in the roadmap for a full year is three more solar passes. An extremely small version of Ibiza (it is just the city, which is also called Ibiza) I thought it was 11 square miles, but it's actually 11 square kilometers, so it's quite small. As for the casino, it’s a highly anticipated feature that should have been included at launch. To be honest, it probably would have held back the masses just a little bit if it had been available from the start. However, it is a year out and has likely already been delayed.

For an online game only, it s so disapointing :( I can't find anyone online on the map, when i play this game , 99.9% of time I m solo

It was a broken translation.

In French they only said "main game mode" which is basically true, racing is how you progress through the game in TDU1 and 2. But in English translation, for some reason, it became "core game experience" which is a completely different thing.

I don't buy that. I highly doubt they allowed an English dubbed version without anyone telling them hey this says this so we should probably change that. After the fact and after the explosion that caused then all of a sudden its a translation thing?

If anyone told me the core of TDU was sitting in their houses and buying clothes, not racing, I would think they're crazy. You play the Sims for that. Sure the 'lifestyle' aspect is a nice addition, but calling it the core of the game is disingenous.

Yes, it's accurate. From subtitles of French version: "...le game mode principal he de TDU de toute facon c'est la course..." which translates to "...the main game mode of TDU is racing anyway...".

What confuses me is the english dub version. Did they just blindly post the video without anyone watching to make corrections? Was this really a bad translation? Because if we go on what is in the game and add in what they said (english dub) it aligns.

The core of TDU is afterall Racing. Things to do in TDUSC: Race. Is there anything else? Ok I guess we have speed traps but that is a one time thing?

eh it doesnt matter, the damage was done because of the state of the game. Nothing they said changed that anyway. I dunno I am only here because I am still holding on for some big content patch, my mini skirt doesnt even fit.

Man they announced they were gonna have another maintenance for some stuff in game just to delay the maintenance not even in a hour after they made the post....really shows the situation TDU is in

The game is pretty boring now, after playing up to level 30, there's no point in going on, it's just a bland race after a bland race, the island is so small that exploring it gets boring after a few hours. It's going to be VERY difficult for the devs to bring this game back to life.

Yeah, who knows. Maybe you are right and they don't see much difference between "main game mode" and "core gaming experience", and people are grasping at straws when they found the discrepancy between languages. Although they talked about this is conjunction with how they are going to bring lifestyle features, so who knows what's going in...
