I like it.
Sophy AI players could do divebombs like TDU:SC ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI but Sophy AI do observe the gaps between other cars and the apex to decide whether to divebomb or not on the fly, if you block them with precautions they would back off a bit or even round the outside to get things done, TDU:SC ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI just divebomb into the pre-coded apex with permitted speed no matter what and glide through turns.
What does that even mean?
I came on here to see if I'm the only one getting seriously annoyed by the AI. I usually have to redo races 5-8 times just to place first, which really kills the fun.
I know my weaknesses when they happen, but 80% of the time I’m getting passed on straight roads where it’s painfully obvious some cars are just way faster than mine.
The thing is, I constantly have to dial down my tuning to meet the race criteria, which is, giving the glaring issues frustrating enough. But on the other hand, there's no effort to properly balance the AI cars, especially in terms of max speed. If it's okay to limit my car, why can't they balance the AI to ensure a fair competition? Something so basic would keep the game challenging without making it unfair!
Unfortunately for us players, the algorithms seems to work sub-optimal at best.
Instead of being too proud of his game design idea, he should rather decide to give the player a AI slider to choose between easy and hard in 10 steps (like e.g. Forza Horizion).
Give us also a rewind function and a race restart function. And let the AI cars use the same vehicle physic as the player car. (at the moment the AI using some fake paths and little physic)
CHANGE YOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CAR
On my 5th race the AI had adjusted back down again because I lost 2 races, and me and the 2 other humans in the lobby were all in the top 4 positions, trading positions as the race went on.
Maybe the AI "skill level" is chosen better when you have more humans in the lobby? The problem now is there's hardly ever anyone else in the lobby with me.
To what? The Audi TT Coupé 2017 was considered "meta", and when i take a look at the current times for the tracks this car is always among the best. If they cannot balance this trash game maybe they let me hire AI drivers to race for me so i can just spectate and manage everything, fun times.
dont over-think this - the AI is poppy-kok.
Completion-ists will, as always, find their way to finish the game but those who are not, might find it difficult to drudge up the motivation. The racing in this game is not as much fun as it should be, IMO.
...and that's unfortunate because this is a very race-centric game where there's not alot to do beyond making your way from 1 race to the next. it is a very shallow design.
