how long is server maintenance expected to last??

I just tried to play and now I get the message server maintenance. They should at least put planned server downtimes in the news like IRacing does when updating or maintaining their servers.

They have absolutely no clue how mmo games work...

Not to mention that, as I pointed out to them, my problem most likely comes from their first savage maintenance, which cut me off from the game right as I was finishing the first race.

Based on the information, the servers are in a state of “serious failure.” At the same time, there is not even an approximate time frame for solving the problem. This once again indicates the attitude towards users who believed in this product and purchased the gold version.

I agree, now we know that in this case, a serious failure just means they're offline. But I admit a little banner message would be welcome.

Anyway, in my case, it doesn't change anything as I still can't play. And I'm not sure the maintenance will fix anything.

I have never gotten ANY news from iRacing on Steam itself about server downtimes or the expected duration.

Please link to the iRacing server downtime newsfeed on Steam or come up with a working example. No popular GAAS titles do it - no reason to get your panties moist about it. You'll live to see another day I'm sure.

They posted hours ago that servers will be down (never mentioned for how long) for maint. in prep for the official launch on the 12th. They should have posted an approx date/time that service is expected to be restored, but they neglected to do so.

The funny thing is I was IN the game and playing while there was maintenance. How is taht possible?
