Should the defender guys like you blame them too desperate to bash?
Think about what they're expecting
- Rendering racing / driving scenes like Asphalt, FH or even Beam.NG.
- 1080p low picture quality but rather smooth gaming like APEX Legend even with hardware like i5-7400 or GTX1060 (I don't play APEX but it's seems like that)
TDU:SC fulfilled none.
The rendering is ❤️❤️❤️❤️, road designs and buildings are generic and low-res across the board
Despite that the lowest setting eating up 9GB of VRAMs and people have only 2-3GB VRAMs with old cards / APUs can't even start the game
And people had TDU1, TDU2 experience keep saying that the TDU1 / 2 experience was decent just raised the expectations for the new people, hope they can see the well received TDU1 / 2 having a 2024-ish upgrade, the result is TDU:SC can't keep up with that.
AND IT'D BE BETTER TO HAVE REMASTERED TDU1 / TDU2 FOR THE 2K / 4K PEOPLE INSTEAD OF CURRENT TDU:SC SERIOUSLY
This might just be wishful thinking on my part, but they dont strike me as the kind of developer that can AFFORD to just axe their game and with that severely hurt their own name, they dont have the money to combat that bad press with advertisement like Ubisoft EA R* etc can do.
They would be much more likely to do the thing that most smaller studio's do when they end a live-service game & that's to release a patch that cuts out the live service bit and gives us the rest as singleplayer-only game
This is all a bit premature tho, we are 3 months prior to the release date, we should give them some time (like, at least several months after release) before we can start making assumptions about which way this will go.
Agree. I hope you are right and i am very wrong. Looks like game is gonna be good and I don't want or wish it to fail.
