is this a joke?
The driving physics in this game are some of the worst I've ever seen. it's like someone took the default UE racing game template and slapped TDU2 on top of it. The cars have ridiculous grip and roll over if you corner too hard. It's sort of vaguely possible to drift at small angles but you can't countersteer (or rather you can but it does nothing) and even a turbo V8 bogs down while sliding. I can't imagine how it's possible to make a game that both looks and drives worse than its prequels from over 10 years ago but Nacon did it. I guess all the people who made TDU fun went to work for Ubisoft.

The map is cool, it's just TDU2 on the Sleeping Dogs map more or less, alot more detail than I was expecting and it's fun to cruise around at the speed limit. But go beyond that or start doing racecar stuff and it all breaks down.

Don't release this game. You'll just make all the crappy Unity drift games on Steam look good.

turn off assists and upgrade the cars and stop giving conclusions to others when you barely open the game and played it

I've turned expert mode the moment I could and it's precisely as the OP writes. It's just bad and grip works on a toggle instead of parameters.

I guess im just one of them silly people that doesn't understand because of some generational gap or whatever, but maybe spend more than "0.8 hours" in the DEMO before making assumptions about THE FULL GAME

- Cars roll over when you corner too hard in the real world too, so ehm, learn to drive? like in any other racing game the racing line you can see actually tells you when you need to slow down, if its orange/red you should be hitting the brakes BEFORE you get there.

- We don't currently have access to at least 110 of the vehicles, probably more, which begs the question: how exactly do you think you can judge drifting in this demo when we have no real drift cars and you clearly didn't even play long enough to get any sort of secondary car?

- At level 12 or something you get told about a special garage and section of the map for offroading, that is currently your best bet at trying drifting, having tried that i can tell you right now that its working fine & fun.

I've spent more time in AC Corsa and FHs combined, than the devs on developing the game, in eight of an hour OP got the very same impressions of the driving model here. It's just wrong, it's not even arcadeish, TDU1 beats SCs model to a pulp too.

10000% bro took the Mustang and then did real world Mustang things and flipped it.

I am almost to offroad I cannot wait. I have the Delta and with the TC at 50% it drives great.

Personnaly i find the game really good and cars physics too.
With some settings and time you can drift TCS OFF.
Compared physics of TDU 1 to SC it's heresy...

Nice drifting Rinzler. :)

What car you using? You using any assists or got both assists set 0%?

I have a G29 wheel, but the force feedback not working. :( No tension in the wheel. Not feeling the curbs or things I hit. All FF settings set 100%.

Thanks Purple44 I'm using the Mustang GT TCS: 0% ABS: 50%

I tried the Alpine A110 and I feel less force feedback because the car is so light that it behaves almost like a go-kart. The Mustang GT is a little prepared with level 2 parts I believe.
I gave some tips in the video but it's in French to configure the sensitivity of the steering wheel. For my part, it has changed a lot in terms of the feeling while driving.

1 hour is easily enough to know how the game handles, no need to be delusional in every thread

For your sake I hope you dont buy this. Servers will be closed within 1 year after launch, guaranteed.

Kids talking did you already try a M3 or porsche in real life??? Do you think you gonna master it in 1 hour??? You wrong dude ...

It's money grab man... they are hoping die hard TDU fans will shell out hard earned $ for their inferior products. Like you said... how can the game be worse than the previous ones. They will likely get very few if any new players to the franchise. It's quite obvious which players are die hard when they start comparing it to Forza Horizon and Crew Motorfest. This demo isn't on the same planet as those games.
