Test Drive Unlimited 1 PC - Hardcore Mode Players feedback
I play tdu since 2005 and i still play TDU1 in hardcore mode today,

I'm deeply disappointed with Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. The game is poorly optimized; even with high-performance graphics cards like the RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, it suffers from significant FPS drops, making it unplayable at times. This level of performance is unacceptable for a game in 2024.

The physics are another major letdown. Why couldn't the developers draw inspiration from the hardcore mode of the first Test Drive Unlimited on PC? That mode was praised by everyone who played it. It offered a perfect blend of realism and challenge, with options to choose between sport, hypersport, and off modes, allowing for a customized driving experience that catered to various playstyles. The current physics in Solar Crown feel clunky and unrealistic, a far cry from the immersive experience we had back then.

The demo of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown has turned the game into a laughingstock among the community. As a long-time fan of the Test Drive Unlimited series, I'm appalled by what I've experienced. This demo doesn’t just fall short—it’s a complete disaster. The game lacks the polish, depth, and attention to detail that made the original so beloved.

To see such a beloved franchise reduced to this state is disheartening. Nacon, you should be ashamed of releasing something so poorly executed. You've let down a loyal fanbase that has been eagerly awaiting this game. We expected a worthy successor to one of the best racing games ever made, and instead, we got a product that feels unfinished and unpolished. This is not what the Test Drive Unlimited name deserves.

Also an old time player of TUD1 & TDU2:

I would have preferred an updated re-make of TDU2, exactly as it were, but with a few newly added in-game social things to do and "hang out areas" with purpose.

There's no gaming or progression purpose to any of the 2 social areas in this game.

Where's the police chases? Where's a "follow the leader" event for friends to chase each other? Where's the diners to grab a burger with a friend while your car is being repaired? Where's all he houses to save up for and buy? Where are all the other ways of making money besides racing & FRIM?...and btw why limit FRIM to only once every 24 real hours?

Where is the life on the map? It's a dead, non-immersive world.

Why release a time limited demo?...and why release it in a condition where it plays more akin to a pre-alpha?

...just too many disappointing questions.

The game has turned out to be soulless... and the realization pains me a great deal to have to say guys :-(
