I think GT4 has the best map replication of Hong Kong btw, although it's just a small map comparatively.
Not really if you want to recreate a more accurate environment. It feels rather lifeless and doesn't feel like Hong Kong. It has some elements of what HK is but it's mostly soulless.
Right and I agree with this bit. I hope they at least made a visit or actually did some mapping... cause this is like driving in North America.
Then you drive better? You work around it, drive into oncoming traffic.
The winding roads on the hills no longer feels narrow and twisty, Sunday Morning Drive people definitely hate that alteration.
Right?!?! That's exactly it. It's bumpy and roads are curved. If you know how to drive in HK, you've basically mastered tight corners.
Have a look under "Solar Tower". There's a parking lot and that thing is HUGE. Even for a design aspect to fit into the "universe" of what they envision Hong Kong to be like, it's nothing like a parking lot you'd see in HK. That thing is so big that it would solve the real estate issue in HK.
I've been to HK many times but I don't live there and I only ever stay in HK Island. This game has quite a few things missing even though it's only a demo we've seen....
Green busses, red busses (though not many left in reality), trams are not moving and there are very few. There are no civilians so it's a dead city... I don't hear any of the pedestrian road crossing sounds ...the "tick tick tick" sound when it's safe to cross the road.
They don't have the newer taxis either. Even though this is a demo, it's extremely far from what HK is like, despite the added pieces of imagination like Solar Tower.
Plus why they did a 1:1 scale if they dont doing 1:1 scale? A: You say we do 1:1 and then make 1:1. If the road narrow and curvey then do it.
B: If you try 1:1 but you change something then say " Hey guys we try creating a HK themed fictional map for you ".
I think not so complicated. I wait nathing from the nowdays companys. Incompetetnt peoples who totaly out from the gameing world try make games for gamers.
Just like they've made the tramway but didn't make the actual tram too.... You can really see how careless they were in doing research and developing.
Not to mention that the tram model is a really generic one with color variations, not even including the iconic open top tourist trams.
Yeah I saw ...1 tram car near "Causeway" or the so-called Causeway Bay... and it wasn't moving. I stopped next to it and the details weren't even there. The sign on the tram was just generic lmao.
I'm concerned about where this game is and it's supposed to be a demo, not a closed beta or some kind of alpha testing stage. This is supposed to... to some degree, represent the final game. I notice that the game (bottom left corner) says it's in early stages and isn't the final product but that's not really what a demo is then... I'm not sure how to interpret this but as of this moment, what I do know is... I'll hold off on getting the game until I see proper reviews.
