Because the game launches in 3 months, you've already been told that. Such a short period of time means, the current build is pretty much a release build, so of course it can't be beta.
U know as much as me, talking about what build it is. Im assuming its earlier build and there is newer build they didnt release for this demo (based on what I've seen in closed betas). And u are assuming its final build before release which will be ''optimized'' in next 3 months. Either of us can be right. Im just trying to be more optimistic (maybe more than i should :P)
Why would you ever release a broken-ass, obsolete build just before launch, only to kill the sales? It's non-sensical, stop the coping and hurting yourself. Performance is broken on engine level, believing it's gonna be fixed is delusional. They can only do minor graphic setting tweaks to squeeze a bit more FPS, but people without NVMe are gonna have hard time (game uses DirectStorage), game doesn't support hyperthreading, have broken Reflex (this can be fixed), nothing about how the game looks justifies how just much power does it require. There's not even Ray Tracing, other than software voxel based global illumination, which exists for 12 years now.
Wrong. I played both games for years, SC isn't quite there. A lot of attention to detail went through the window.
Custom gauges for each car ; gone.
An actual car key hands-off with a car key 3D model : gone.
A map so large you'll get lost : gone.
Houses you can buy and customize to your liking : gone.
Used car dealer : gone.
AI tough but balanced, and not broken : gone
Real-world car prices : gone
The mustang sounds good and the sense of speed is nice, there's wrecks and a task list and it sounds like TDU all around ??
You really sounds like YOU are the one who didn't played the previous entries of the franchise IMHO
You could basically say why releasing ''demo'' of the game at all if they were probably expecting some of these issues to come out ? I would say because they wanted more testing, especially on their online infrastructure. I've never even mentioned performance (but I agree with what you said about requirements not being justified), because this is not something I care about that much until its final release. How I felt about this demo build was based on my gameplay during closed beta which had exactly same content, thats why I said this build not being the latest one imo.
Though seeing literally no public communication (perhaps on Discord there's some?) and just how bland the entire game is, how unpolished and rough the gameplay is, they just want this development hell to end and move on.
I recommend leaving them to their fate and just forget about this game.
The developers have been in oblivion for months and then bam! - make pre-orders! - There's this option, and here's another! Buy it! Here's the demo and hasta la vista. - Of course, this is the wrong approach.
I had hopes for this game but alas, the developers don't want to make a game.
Who says I want my cars for free? TDU never game cars for free. TDU never had clans, I'm starting to wonder if you ever played those older games at all. NFS always had clans, TDU didn't.
TDU2 had clans. With exclusive cars associated with it like gumpert apollo and fxx.
With free cars I was referring to FH obviously, since you love that freedom, whatever it means in comparison to TDU.
Perhaps you mean those auto-clubs you could join multiplayer? That's something totally different than the 2 clans in TDUSC. Not part of the main game, never joined any of them.
Yeah thats what I meant, sorry in my mind clans, guilds, clubs comes down to the same thing and true they are different, but how does that affect the gameplay for you ? I just dont see this being breaking point by any means. As i mentioned earlier I dont even know if that's something u necessarily need to interact with, from what I've seen earlier you could easly ignore those races and just enjoy whatever is there to enjoy ;)
I have the feeling that you will get these annoying calls from them while trying to ignore them :-)
Anyway, I'm not buying, don't want an always online game and for sure not one that fails to connect. Seen enough, done with this game, going to buy FH5 instead now. Held off tha purchase to see how this would come along... not so good in my opinion.
This place is for the real fan already feeling good about that and praise Nacon and KT for their effort finally putting TDU:SC out in the wild.
