RTX 3080 - 30FPS ???

The game doesn't even look that good, how the hell is it 30FPS at 4K?

That sounds about right. I have an RTX 3080 12GB card, Intel Core I7-12700K processor, and 32 Gigabytes of RAM, and I get about 45-50 FPS on Forza Horizon 5 at 1080P with settings on High. Since this is a newer and more graphics-intensive game, I'd expect lower FPS at a higher resolution like 4K.

Have you tried turning down some of the settings and experimenting with combinations? I've noticed that some cards have trouble with certain settings, like my old GTX card which could run high or ultra settings on games only if I turned shadows to minimum. For some reason, that card had difficulty with shadows, but nothing else. In Forza Horizon games, I have to turn down reflections to low or medium to get to that FPS I mentioned; otherwise, it drops to around 30.

Plus, part of the point of releasing a demo is for testing purposes. They're most likely looking at data collected to find out how to optimize it over the next few months before the release.

45-50 fps at 1080p in FH5 with an 3080? I run at 4k native 60 fps with most settings in high, some in normal and a little in ultra with an 3070, and in this TDU solar crown at 1440p with dlss in balanced, mayor of settings in medium and it's almost impossible to get 60 fps, and in free mode the avg is about 40 avg but in some zones it drops to 25 fps, this performance is rubbish, cpu usage at 30% and gpu at 65% in that massive drops, and visually is much worse than FH5

Three month before the game launch this smells very bad.

i have a ryzen 9 3900x at 4.1 ghz 16gb of ram and an rtx 3070.

My config can run Cyberbunk, Red dead, Star Citizen and some game with enormous mob (total war, ultimate battle simulator) with ultra setting, and here i cannot run that in medium, its no sens.
And this is not really right what they write, some people with very good config cannot turn in high, me with i7 10700k, Rtx 3060 12vram, 32go ram and SSD it lagging in med...

4090 with a 14900k maxed out on ultra at 1440p I'm hitting about 70-85fps WITH DLSS on, but frame gen is so buggy and glitchy I couldn't even use it. I just don't feel connected to what's going on this game to be honest, not happy one bit since I've been a TDU fan for a LONG time. I actually just uninstalled it a moment ago and I'm not purchasing it. I already wasn't going to anyway since it didn't look good from the get-go but wanted to try the free demo since, it's free.

We really need a game changer for open world racing games. lol

Off-topic but with your specs you should be getting WAAAAAY more than 45-50fps on Forza Horizon 5. Your current rig is somewhat around my previous 3080/9900k rig which pulled an almost constant 100fps on extreme settings at 1440p but with shadows on high and DLAA on for anti-aliasing. My fps went higher than that aside from the city but I capped it to 100 to reduce judder. I'm not sure why your fps on that game is literally half of what it should be. Your rig is far more than capable of pulling much higher fps.

Oh. Nice to know nothing has changed since the playtest. I had 30 on 1080p on a 3080 dude. This is absolute insanity. The disgrace of coding.
