Not that good, not that bad

Let's start with the fact that I was very much in hype for this game, but in this early consideration of the game I will try to keep the emotions out of it

Let's start with the positive:
The car models are well done, we are not at a level of pure realism, but they are very satisfying. The car sounds are ok, nothing exceptional. The car interactions are fun, like putting on the turn signals, opening the windows, etc etc.
The overall experience of buying and customizing the car is satisfying. It's nice to be able to choose official car accessories like in a real dealership.
I really like the selection of cars included, considering it is only a demo.
The car progression and customization system seems solid and simple, that's a big plus. The external customization on the other hand is very limited, but that's to be expected, it's in full test drive style.

Let's move on to the downsides, which are mostly technical:
The car control system is bad, you can't establish a feeling with the car, it feels like driving on butter, you don't feel the weight distribution, you don't understand how to handle the vehicle in corners, you don't understand what the car wants to do or how it wants to be driven, and this for a driving game is a big flaw.Certainly the game engine is very old, and this has led the developers to fail to make a game that is up to date, but unfortunately this is inexcusable.
The optimization is terribbile, and the implementation of upscaling technologies such as dlss and fsr is not well done. With dlss quality and frame gen, the visual quality drops so much and artifacts increase tremendously.
I have noticed that reflections further ruin the image quality, so I recommend turning them off.
The game world looks a bit dead, the city seems to be made of “copy and paste” buildings, it didn't convince me so far.

I feel very sorry for this game and I don't want to be defeatist, but I have the feeling that 3 months to fix all these problems is too short and as a result the game will not come out in a good state

Graphics, map icons, gameplay... reminds me a lot of the NFS Heat.

I'm also split on the game. With The Crew (all three) and modern NFS games I get bored and I don't like the world map design. Solar Crown somehow held my attention for 3+ hours. It's definitely unfinished, and I wish the driving physics were more realistic. But the map scale is great, and there are details I like a lot. It's just not done. It's good enough I foresee 7/10 scores at best, but also a strong fanbase.
