Demo is in a pretty sad state
Wow, it's really bold of them to release a demo in a state like that.

Even though trailers looked like ass, I was really eager to play it and was about to pre-order the game. That was until demo finished downloading and I got to actually try it.

I know, 3060 is a mid-range graphics card, but come one, on lowest possible settings game hogs 9GB of VRAM, 5 of which goes to textures of the lowest possible quality. Even on their own TIPS screens game looks like slightly modded Second Life. There is also a lot of weird noise and smudges, from what I assume is their way of implementing DLSS (game also defaults to FSR which looks even worse).

On somewhat positive note: game fully supports adaptive triggers and they feel nice.
edit: I just pray to god it runs better on PS5 and Series X.

There is something really weird happening with this game VRAM usage, when I run it in 3440x1440 game wants 10-12GB VRAM and stutters on all settings, but when I changed to 1080p I car run it High/Ultra and it maintains 50-60FPS.

yea, after first initial play on my 3070 i had a hard time getting past 40 frames on medium settings but i hopped off and came back 30 min later and now my game is regularly scoring about 60-70 fps i think they have the same issue that FM8 has.

regardless i have had so much fun with the game im still gonna pre-order it.

Yup, and it seems that DLSS also tanks quality a lot.

Strangely enough, besides a few stutters here and there, performance itself is fine.

that's what i'm saying, over all it seems ok. a little rough around the edges but i mean look at all the other tdu games they have stutters and slowdowns all the time especially when driving at speed through the city. i think people are just complaining to complain and are forgetting that this game is still 3 months out.

I can't join any events and just get booted back to free roam with a server error. The load times are so long and frequent, I just don't have the patience to keep at it.

Runs decent enough for me maxed out on a 4080. Doesn't look all that great though, considering the requirements.

The thing is, I don't think they'll fix it. Game has a lot of potential. Social part of the game and it's vibe are pretty cool, but it has a lot of issues with core gameplay and stuff.
In some ways it reminds of NFS World in the best way possible.

Definitely not for everyone. Played just fine for me.

Don't worry mate, my 3080ti get a cinematic 40fps average. drops to 18fps and only on ultra performance dlss with low graphics do i get above 60fps but still 56 average lmao.

Holy Jesus...
KT engine in its last breath. Would be more wise to use Unreal 4.

here at (5:05) is me playing 3440x1440p, ULTRA PERFORMANCE DLSS & LOW SETTINGS... -- on a 3080ti, 12400f & 32gb 3200mhz, lmao, barely 60fps, what even is this demo. what kinda pc do they want you to have? DLSS looks BLURRY as heck btw, it's clearly broken in this demo.

All right so it's not just me.

Even though I have a mid-tier system.(3070) I'm able to run every racing sim and Arcade game optimized really well between 60 and 100 FPS. Including Forza Horizon 4 and 5. This game- even at max settings-doesn't look very solid visually, nor doesn't seem to be doing anything different design wise after this long of a wait. And now it runs like crap on PC?

Just because it's a "demo" doesn't mean it needs to be functioning like an alpha phase.

If this was a test drive to find out if I wanted to purchase, I'm definitely walking out the door. Pun intended.

I would have been embarrassed to have released this.

Just downloaded this and i was shocked to see 9GB of vram on low, the roads look terrible i cant seem to get it to look good and run okay

Sup everyone. So I'm playing on a 3090. At 4k with up to 75fps to as low as 5fps when there is a fps crash every once in a while. Other then that the game is running pretty smooth. Races don't start after about 5 trys. Needs way more npc street traffic.

3090 4k 60? Is it the lowest possible settings with DLSS set to ultra performance?
