Bad optimization?

What's about optimization in this game?
I'm getting around 60-70 on any settings on RTX 3080 + I9-11900 on 1080p
Lowering settings doesn't change problem much. Start getting around 75 instead of 65~

How did you manage to get thru the "loading saved game"?
I'll be able to share data for 4090 + 7950X3D if I get in :'(

UPD: With DLSS at Quality and FG enabled and with Ultra settings at 4K, I'm getting around 100fps, which is okay I guess considering its only a demo and there werent any drivers updates for it.

Just installed the game, created an account and started playing. Nothing really special.

Yeah the optimization is some of the worst I've possibly ever seen. 3080 TI + 13700k on 1440p, and it only musters about 75-80fps on everything low (with DLSS performance!!!), with heavy microstuttering to boot.

Optimization is terrible. Before I uninstalled, I was only getting around 60 at 4K Ultra, DLSS Balanced w/ a 4090+14700K. Lowering setting to Medium got me 90.

Sadly game looks last gen even at Ultra. Not sure what I expected... but this is an easy pass.

these bad devs must be competing every year for worst optimised game title... 25 fps 1080ti on 1080p minimum settings... bad devs bad game. every other racing game runs better and this one doesnt look anything special

1660ti- 25-30 fps on lowest settings native. worst optimisation ever experienced. total dissapointment. uses minimum 8gb of vram with lowest settings? seriously...

As much as I loved TDU1 back in the day, this game looking mid and being online only means it's a pass for me. Still, I'll check out the demo today and see if it can hold a candle to my memories of TDU1. I don't like that it's online only, though. TDU1 and TDU2's online shut down a while back but they're still playable solo since they're not tied to servers. This one, however, will become unplayable at some point just like The Crew. I'm not buying a game with planned obsolescence.

i can run Forza horizon 5 in high 60fps 1440p with my GTX1080 but this game it run 720p 20fps LOW lol

understatement, the game runs like hot trash even on medium settings with heavy use of DLSS and looks bad too with an rtx 3070

I'm getting 50-65 FPS at 4K with a 7800X3D and 4080 with all settings turned down 1 from the highest, DLSS Quality, and HDR.

Bare in mind that optimization is typically one of the very last things developers tend to work on, so I wouldn't judge the game based on that. Of course, if it's this bad at launch, then the devs should be slammed for it, but not for a demo. Poor performance is to be expected for something like this.
