Hong Kong being a former colony of the British, drive on the left hand side, same with India. Japan is another country that drives on the left side of the road too.
Everywhere else in the world drives on the opposite side. Sorry, that's just the way it is.
Blame the British, they came up with it, when they colonised other counries, they too adopted the left hand traffic system, if you wanna blame someone, blame the British.
Also there's 75 countries in the world who adopt the same traffic system. Maybe you should learn to drive on the wrong side of the road, not hard.
You should take a look at the real world, you will be surprised at what else you will encounter apart from driving on the left. Go for it, it won't hurt and it will be an enrichment!
