If true then funny cause it's exactly PC Steam gamers who exclusively got technical alpha tests before.
its in official graphic showing what you get on each edition, there is an asterisk on both Beta Access lines -> 'For consoles pre-orders only. Does not apply for PC / Steam'

this is from the playstation store
- Access to the VIP Beta from August 13th to 18th
- Early access to the Open Beta from August 27th to 30th
this is not found on steam.
would be ass if they give steam just a 2 day open beta

Could be the "thing" with open end refund policy for not yet released products.
If they do give the players 2 or 3 days to F around in the game and who will be able see all the "hidden" crap that could be somewhere beyond the 2 hour play limit for Steam, people could start a massive refund wave that will butt hurt the publisher.
Bad reviews will have an impact too but consoles will not be able to see it and will keep on pumping hours in it eventually.

at least in germany early access and advanced access (like tdusc gold edition) titles are still free to refund. but if you played more then 2 hours in ea/aa you cannot refund after release.

That sounds like the loophole is closed. So, no reason to only allow consoles to play earlier.

They are really hiding this game atleast the PC version there is no logical reason to not allow PC players to have Beta testing especially if it requires the most work and even then it should be free to gain most players if they truly care about this game

Here in Europe the most expensive version advertised at €79.99 does offers early access by one week, on September 5.
LeafyRiot05 Jun 4, 2024 @ 11:29pm
Yeah Early access to the full game
