I think they mean Star Fox Zero, the reboot of Star Fox 64 for Wii U.

There is nothing quite like the original star fox. It was one of the first 3d games. I spent all my Christmas money on it in 1994.

Not too hard on the Star fox rail but still somewhat close, i'd say "Chorus".
And if you want something that is very similiar then all of the Star fox games especially Star Fox (Lylat Wars if you are European or with other words 64).
