Can't see names of countries/provinces?

I see the "names" option in the controls at the lower right. This option toggles the names of the SEA zones, but not the provinces on land. I'm afraid my geography isn't solid enough to play this game without the ability to see at least the names of the countries. Something I'm doing wrong?

Yeah, I should have given you that to begin with!

Ubuntu 20.04
NVidia RTX 2080 Super
Plenty of processor, RAM, disk.

I'm using the Nvidia proprietary drivers, if that makes a difference.

I have this problem too. Some country names are missing and i cant attack them neither. It seems countries are broken....

Hi,

Does this problem persist in the current version of the game? And if so, does it prevent you from seeing names of all countries, or just some specific ones?
Keep in mind that occasionally the placement of the country’s name can move if their borders change.
