Upgrade your Laptops System memory. Even though it has 15 gb windows uses a percentage of that to run and 4gb video ram may not quite enough for some game dev aspects as most game require a core of 8GB. You laptop uses something called shared memory, that means the access memory is shared with other hardware, like sound card, eithernet card, blue tooth and video memory. Your laptop probably has 2 sticks of gb of ram in it making it 16gb upgrade that to 2 sticks of 16 gb making it 32 gig and that will more than likely solve all you issues.
