Right-click PR2.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility.
Tick (on) Run as Admin
Tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Choose Windows 98/ME -> Apply -> OK

Try that.

на 8ой винде вообще мало что идет

the game starts up for me i can selelct all the options and actually begin, but when the town loads up. it'll keep switching to the loading screen like every 10 seconds. or to the windows desktop. i have to keeps clicking on the game which is kinda annoying

and i changed the compatibility to win98/me. any kind of help would be nice

Try disabling the DEP for PR2

Run with no compatibility but use Nvidia Control Panel to run the game with intergrated graphics. worked for me
