that's an easter egg and they don't need to "buy" rights to put a straw hat with red ruban on a skull pirate flag. the drawing itself is not the same so it's fine

you'd get an heart attack if you saw that card game released recently that basically copy/pasted the world of warcraft universe

He is not refering to Hearthstone, he is refering to a game running on facebook and armor games.com which basicaly is an RPG, where the characters are cards and are rip offs of Warcraft and simply have 1 letter changed in their names.

yea that's Reckless Ruckus. they even took the map picture of world of warcraft with the places names on it and darkened it so it was cut lol. so not only they did inspire directly from wow, chibi-ing characters and using the same names with one different letter, but they also litteraly copied from wow or other games, using pictures or screenshots from these games
