Missing fish? :(

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a lovely Sunday.
I'm trying to catch all of the fish (I have to admit, I really wish the game would tell us with more knowledge where, when, etc., a fish can be caught...) but I'm still missing 5. According to what I've found online, they are:
Serpente
Coocosteus
Smallmouth
Medusalion
Ruscus

I've been trying to catch them based on what I've been provided but for example with the Coccosteus I've been told it's a day winter lake spawn, but I've fished all day for multiple days and not found one - not to mention I've caught "rainy day" fish on days where it wasn't raining so I'm thinking the online guides might be a little outdated?

If someone has any location information on any of these, I'd really appreciate it - thank you!! :)

From memory:

Serpente can be caught in the rivers of the forest but not the Northernmost lake. I know I caught them in summer and fall in dry weather at daytime.

Coccosteus: I've just tested and caught one in the lake at the top of the forest in winter on a dry day.

Smallmouth I got in the waters of the Savannah whilst raining only and think from spring to fall but I shall check as i'm in mid winter right now.

Medusalion is caught at the beach and needs it to be snowing it doesn't ever to seem to depict snow on the beach itself but if it's snowing elsewhere, it counts. I've gotten very few of these and only ever at night past 9 o'clock.

Ruscus I'll fish some and get back on this one too.

I seem to have gotten ruscus confused with thunnus in what I said earlier. Apologies, I'll keep fishing (it's just started snowing in game so I'll come back). edit* I'm not catching any of these now so I'm thinking it's not around in winter. I do have them in my second fishing chest (I keep at least 1 of each in storage) so I'm thinking it might not be available in spring but maybe in summer and fall. The in-game description says river so I'd expect them in the forest rivers, the land and possibly in the streams in the Savannah (for some reason I always get the same 'pool' of fish no matter where i'm fishing in the Savannah or steppe areas).

When testing earlier the coccosteus was quite literally the first fish I caught in that lake. I'm wearing all of my fishing accessories which are all upgraded to electrum, so that might make a bit of difference.

I did finally manage to catch a Coccosteus! I wasn't as lucky as first try, but I got it which I guess is the main thing :D I really had some bad luck before it seems...! Also just caught the Medusalion - didn't catch it until 1:30am though so had to sacrifice a night of sleep but at least I have one now... Finally!!

From the sounds of it, my next major fishing hunt and hopefully the last will be in summer, so at least for the Spring I can just enjoy the fishing for what it is :D Genuinely relieved I managed to catch one.

I've done that plenty too. If this game had a drowning mechanic I'd be dead several times over for falling asleep whilst fishing and just dropping face down in the water T_T. Glad you've manged to catch them, that medusalion was my final fish to get the full set.
