Do children age past toddler stage?

Do the children you and your union spouse grow up past the toddler phase? Both mine are walking but don't seem to age past that, despite one having their first birthday already.
I saw it was an achieved stretch goal.

No they don't grow up past the toddler stage yet. Stretch goals will come in future updates, whenever they are done with the initial release bugfix phase and the release on the different consoles.

This is about infants not growing into toddlers. Currently children don't grow up past toddler.

Now we have August 2024. As fas as I see the game version is 1.2 and children should grow up to teenage age. Could this be now?

Yes I think in the new update 1.2 that should be the case, I just recently had my baby so I haven't seen it yet but this is the update:
- Children new stage: toddlers can be enrolled in school to make them grow up to school-age children. Your child will get one of 4 personalities and eventually choose from 8 professions, with unique dialogue and gifts for the different combinations.

I'm guessing you have to interact with the school or someone to enrol them, not too sure though.

You we're right! If your kids educated enough you can talk to Daari after building the school, to educate your child! 😍
