snowball fight

sorry but what on earth is going on with the snowball fight? i thought "practice" would show what to do or what's going on but it still doesn't, and i'm about to have to hard reset my game for the second time.

i'm on a team and all i can do is point at the opponents using the arrow keys, and press space. my sprite doesn't appear to actually throw anything so i don't know if i'm hitting anyone or what's going on. and there's no win condition i can figure out.

oh -- wow. while i was typing this, the "practice" timed out and ended. thank god! but please, if you did this minigame successfully, tell me what i'm missing -- thank you!

ahahaha jfc -- you can't leave the festival without doing the snowball fight, and the snowball fight doesn't seem to time out the way practice does. so i've just hard reset again. everything in this game outside the main everyday gameplay loop is SO rough.

The snowball fight is pretty simple, but requires some right timing. I am not sure how it works for the keyboard, but I use my mouse to hover an opponent, and to throw a snowball, you have to left click and hold to build power. Once you release the left mouse button, you will throw a snowball towards that opponent. If the target is in a ducking pose, you will miss, so a good time to throw is when they're not crouching, and they're holding a snowball over their head. Each person has 3 hits, and there is a marker in front of each character to indicate how many times they were hit, so if everyone on a team strucks three times, they have lost the game.

thank you, this is a big help! i couldn't tell at all that you're supposed to hold anything, because once you press space/mouse click the circle fills up anyway -- just not intuitive design for telling me i need to hold it myself haha. i'll think about giving it another try if i make it that far -- thanks again.
