Animals
is it possible to collect all the animals and colors of each type?

not sure if the main area is big enough for it with a farm.

There are currently 8 different types of animals you can invite back to the village (some are acquired later in game), and according to the wiki, there are 10 color variants for each type. The challenging part is breeding babies, and also how you plan to decorate your ranching area. You may need to use part of both top and bottom fields in early game, because some debris requires an upgraded tool to remove. If space is a problem, I highly recommend releasing animals you want to keep instead of sending them off to Grob. When you release an animal, they live in the wild with their herd for quite a long time (not sure if they will disappear, but I hadn't seen any of mine disappear). You can always invite them back without playing the flute again when you have the space.

I use the top field to build my craftables--things like Storage Sheds, drying station, smoking station, etc.), and also planting trees, and place some decors.

The bottom field has a lot more tiles (about 1900. I lost count after 1841 due to the odd shape at the bottom). You have a lot more space to place large barns there. I recommend using the top portion of the bottom field to place and upgrade to Large Animal Sheds (6x5 tiles), and the remaining field used for crops. The top portion, you can easily fit at least 9 Large Animal Sheds, a Breeding Pen, and Granary, but it's up to you how you want to design your ranching area.

There will be a bonus additional field in late game, but I'll leave this for you to find out on your own, but if you want to know, the Wiki has a spoiler.[rootsofpacha.wiki.gg]

If you'd like to create your own farm layout planner, check out this reddit post response by the developer here. They included free google doc sheets for you to download and edit. Hope this helps give you an idea or come up with something can work with.
