Can't place sundial?

I was talking to Maeri about the sundial, but the place i wanted to put it needed to be cleared out. So I exited out of the conversation, but now when i talk to her she just does her dialog loop and I can't figure out how to place the sundial. Any help?

Talk to the builder Croll, in his build menu you should see it there and can then build it.
