Rare/Legendary Animals - Questions

In regards to the quantity of rares & legendarys - it seems like peeps are able to breed more of the excisting kind of animal ( like two rare horses & u have a baby in one of the two possible rare colors) but it seems to only work if both animals to mate are rare or legendary - maybe some of u migth know more..

Also do u know if there are only 1 rare/legendary per race and color ?
I got both the golden and icy ibex and also the spider one but all of the are male & since I got them no new ones seem to spawn... is there only one rare/legendary animal per color spawing ?

So i tested a little and since only one animal per rare/legendary color is spawning I tried to get more thrugh breeding & it works perfectly~ even breeding with none-rare/legendary animals can result in a rare/legendary baby

it takes up from 3 to 6 days for a baby to grow up as far as I've seen

hey there, I just found this post while trying to find info for my game. To clarify, do you mean you can have more than one of the same rare? As in, if I breed my icy ibex, I can have a second one? Every time I've tried I'm not getting another rare, but I was unsure if that was because the color variation is rare so it'll just take a while to get it or because it's not possible. Just wanted to check if you could confirm, thanks!

Yes, you can have multiple rares of the same color.

Was breeding common horses up for stats while waiting for rare variants to pop up, which ended up being a small waste of time, the rare ones already have boosted stats comparatively, but anyway, was breeding a plain white horse with a cloudy day one and got a second cloudy day horse.

Additionally, you can save scum animal birth results as well, as in exit and reload the game, until you get the animal you want.

Wonderful, thank you. I'd tried the save scum tactic and hadn't ended up with another rare, but I was curious if that was just because it's a rare variant or because it wasn't possible. Now I now it's at least worth the time if I really want that variant - thanks!
