What to do after caves.
Hi, this game is kinda weird to me. When I have stuff to do in the caves, it seems this game has a purpose. I finished it now, and I just feel like I have to grind crops to level 5 and finish pyramids. Waiting for irrigation so im waking up everyday and clearing out entire farm patch. Not much else to do at the moment...so this is all I do. I figure later I will be harvesting crops mostly..petting my animals..gifting my villagers and cleaning up the last items I need to make. Then thats it. Am I missing something? Just not sure whats supposed to keep people playing after caves if you dont hunt achievements. Achievos are the only reason im getting crops to level 5 and going to do all this.

I'm not sure if we mean the same thing, but I've cleared the caves and raised pyramid max, and now while I still haven't maxed out everything, I still feel like this is the part were the main game is over and the rest is mostly grind.

It's like stardew valley after the first two years, but without the feeling that I reached the games goal. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there should be some sort of a game victory cutscene that feels more fullfilling. I know the dancing of all three clans at the pyramid and the acceptance that the two tribes were once one probably should have been it, but somehow it just didn't touch me as much. Maybe because it didn't feel like the clans realy accepted one another after it. I dont know.
In SDV you had the ghost of gramps telling you that you did well, made him proud and made the farm prosper more then he ever had. So even with there being so much endgame content that you could do after that, you had the feeling of "I finished the game and was victorious." I just dont get that from this game.

For me, maybe it would feel like this if the pyramid sequence contained the character standing in front of the pacha tree, and the totems tell you that pacha had chosen you to bring her children together again, and you succeeded and your destiny is therefor fullfilled.

The way it is, it feels more like EuropaUniversalis4, where you set your own goals and decide yourself wether you achieved something or not.

Yeah, some games are like that. You're not missing anything, the game doesn't have a ton of content so when you run out... You run out. Do caves, pyramid, unlock all the ideas. After that you have to make your own goals if you want to keep playing.

Yeah definitely a charming game but can get a bit boring and grindy after the first 30 hours...and some hours in between. Its a good game but not that great. I mean I support it and hope more content comes out and the developer but I cant say it is as good as stardew with all the added content. Early stardew though is a different story.

But yes time to set my own goals and get done what I want to pursue.

Atleast others agree with me, wanted to make sure I wasnt missing anything. Lol

Yeah it doesnt have tons of content so obviously it cant compete with Stardew Valley but I probably like this more personally

I like this game a lot too, and to be fair, stardew valley didn't have all the content it has nowadays from the beginning either AND it's the genre titan. So give this game a year or two, and hopefully when the dispute is settled and the remaining stretch goals and perhaps more content updates have been delivered, this could give stardew a run for their money.

Stardew for me, I played and got into something else only after a little..so when I came back and it has pretty much all it has now and got 150 hours of great content out of it..I have to say that this beats roots. Roots has some awesome things in it though not to take away from it.

I think its fun to stay up to date and play when new stuff comes out. Gives that new but something you know mood.

Just check the desert, up the north there is something like stepstones on the wall to climb, I think they'll add a new area there
