getting a black screen randomly during gameplay

I can't really tell what is triggering it but every few minutes the whole game will go black for a few seconds. The game is still active and I can still move during those seconds, but I just can not figure out what is going on.

Sounds odd, I would send logs to the devs. If you have mods or anything like that, try without them to see if that's the issue

I got a warning once that this game was using a lot of CPU. I wonder if maybe a lesser powered cpu is choking on the game? If you have hardware monitoring software, maybe you can check.

No mods, I tried with less resolution I had it at 4k that's not doing anything either. I verified the game cashe, no issues. there really isn't much I can change settings wise.
