Can indie devs just stop trying to remake 20000 versions of Stardew Valley? When I read the game description on an email I was pumped, but pixel art makes it an instant pass. Make a good 3D farming game. This pixel art indie crap is way out of hand.

Honestly, just because you don't like it, doesn't mean others don't. It's pretty ellitist of you to just say it's "pixel art crap".
Hell, if you are so adamant about wanting a 3d stardew valley, then why not make it?

You are allowed to not like games for whatever reason you have. No one has the right to tell you you're wrong on your preference/taste of games. To come onto a discussion board to just... ♥♥♥♥ post.. it's really not right or necessary. If you feel this strongly about a non 3d farming sim game, then as I stated above, go make one.
To come on here and crap over a developers hard earned time, to just crap on a developers art, love, passion, years of theirs lives, just because you don't want pixel art... it's honestly terrible. I hope you never have something you are proud of and have it get crapped on by some one who had no reason to crap on it.

So you want a version of Stardew Valley... in 3d? A lot of what I love about both is the pixel art style, if you want to find something else there are plenty of 3d style farming games out there too. But some of us loved the art style in Stardew Valley and love it here too.

Tons of people like me prefer pixel art more then 3d realistic graphics. Just a preference :D

smooth/low detail 3d < pixel art < detailed 3d

Problem is detailed 3d requires a LOAD of development time/effort/people and while the genre is fairly popular its not enough to cover the expense.
So pixel art is the happy medium for these sorts of games, affordability and time required for development is in the indie dev budget range.

Also pixel art is thousands of times smaller in size so any time a game requires loads of different assets it will always be at an advantage.

2d pixel art is guaranteed to work on more systems. The more advanced you make a game, the more of your audience you alienate due to their hardware.

2d pixel games are easier to play on mobile too.

Personally, I LOVE 2d pixel art games, but it still comes down more importantly to the actual game than the style. I wouldn't play Stardew if it were rubbish regardless of it's looks.

What? Do you mean the devs? No one who bought the game is banned. We can all still play. new sales are just on hold till they work out the contract issues.

Since humble bundle already bought the steam keys they have to sell you can still buy it there even, till they run out.

Yeah, I bought mine via humblebundle. I assumed Blueinfinity meant banned from the discussions forums, but I haven't seen any proof of -anybody- being banned.
