Horns, Feather and Other Random Question

How to get Horns and feathers? I found a Horn but don't remember where or why (sold it). I watched a video and it looked like the decorations you buy for the house (specifically the produce rack I think its called) could store things so I bought a resource shelf and could not actually store stuff. So can you store stuff or no or do some store stuff while others don't?

Horns are given by male ibexes in your barn. Feathers by male ostriches. Both can be found just lying on the ground in the savanna.

The shelves you buy from Reese are purely decoration, the only shelves you can store stuff in are the shelves in the kitchen for food.
