1. When another NPC tells you what someone loves, it should go onto that character's profile so you don't have to write it down or immediately give the person that gift before you forget. (yes, I know you can look it up online, but you shouldn't have to. Stardew Valley does this, it's just standard.)
2. The amount of value add you get from processing/refining raw materials into higher-valued goods is hideously unbalanced to the point where it's a one-true-strat (grow grain, ferment grain, make beer out of grain. Wine takes too long and casks take WAY too long compared to just juicing fruits/veggies and selling them straight off.) Plus, for most goods the reward is just weak.
3. The devs actually fixed this one, so I'm going to mention it only to thank them for listening to player feedback:
The game is way too frantic at the default speed; 15 minutes just isn't enough time to do everything the game wants you to do in a day. I haven't done a 20-minute-day run yet (I'm going to finish some things on my first playthrough/do some achievement-hunting first before starting a new character), but I suspect having just three game days in a real-world hour rather than four is going to be a big help.
All in all, I'm enjoying the game, but it's a B+ grade as it just feels undercooked, like an Early Access game that's still in development rather than a finished product getting post-release support.
- the storage box thing works fine for some games, they would need to redo the entire crafting system here for something like that to work though, not exactly viable.
- sorting, yes please
- id like a minimap .. maybe a compass idea ..
It would be cool if we could kill our animals instead of release them, or perhaps hunt.
You can lengthen your days; that ability was added in the last patch.
Do note that you can only change day length from the Settings option in the main menu, however. If you're already in-game you'll need to exit to the main menu, choose Settings, then select the length of day you prefer (there are three options -- two of them for longer days than the default).
I definitely need a way to either choose the tool directly or be able to take tools off the wheel when I'm not using them or something. It wastes so much time having to click through all the tools, and if you accidentally miss it, you've got to click around again.
A sorter in the storage boxes would be nice. I don't know if there is, but we also need bigger storage boxes or a way to upgrade the ones we have. It would also be great if we had a way to auto transfer everything into the storage box. It get a bit annoying having to do it one by one.
Being able to move village buildings would be nice, but, thankfully, I realized we can't move them after placing them, so I've been careful to put "useless" buildings in the back of the village and more "active" buildings close to where I will need them.
