Right above the Beach Entrance
You have Access to the Big Field, the Teleport, Southern Contribution Box
and once you unlock the BeachCave a really fast Way into the Mines ^^
Reasons I like it:
(1) I'm putting my animals in the north (smaller) field as recommended in another thread here, and it gets me good access to them in the morning as noted above. The first thing I want to do is go take care of the animals and pick up my mount.
(2) Being close to the river is really nice when I arrive home at night with an extra hour or two to spare. Perfect to get in a bit of fishing before bed.
(3) It's north-south pretty central for the village which is nice. I put my starter plant field on the east side of the small field (where you originally spawn), which is really close to the contribution point too. I plan to move my plants to the southern field in a season or two.
(4) It's not too far from grandma and grampa's place, where I wake up if I accidentally oversleep. I can run back quickly and make sure to pet my puppers in the morning.
Not great things about it:
(5) It's pretty far from the beach, and you're gonna really want shells. But your mount can cover that pretty fast, so it's not too bad.
(6) Coming back from the forest mines, if I leave it too late, it's pretty far from the Forest and Beach mines. Picking a place closer could be an advantage. I have to leave the mines a little bit earlier than I might otherwise have to, or I wake up at Grandma and gramps. Though that's not the worst thing because (4)
