Bear Totem challenge bug

Hi is this just me?

I've started the bear totem challenge and apart from being able to break the rocks with the bear power, the aura doesn't hang around and i'm forced to have to break the rocks 1 by 1 to search for clues instead of being able to access the bear's power to wipe the stones out in bulk.

I've restarted, and even tried progressing to the next phase but the same problem still persists, do we have any fix for this?

yeah it is not at all explained... I did it by slowly hitting it with the hammer, took forever... I figured the claws were to turn in for something

after you complete it you find out that those claws you pickup and get put into your inventory are the bear power consumables

they drop at about 10x the normal rate during that so you won't get a ton outside of it (and those are removed after)
