Dunno whats statisticly the best one, but i go for Oxygala, its justed cooked Sour Cream, so you can make it with Ibex Milk, Almonds and Oat (I use Oat everytime)
But i think you need at least a Medium Hut and the Copper Pot

Make one dish of everything, you can then see the stamina of each dish. Basically, more ingredients better stamina. You'll also get dishes up to 180 Stamina as a prize if you win races 1st.

An excellent dish at the very start of the game is baba ganoush. you can make it with sesame and eggplants wich are easily available in summer and which haven't a great value such as sour milk so no great contribution loss.
And no need for house upgrades either.
For middle to end game, I haven't checked yet what is the best stamina for less valuable ingredients ratio.

Oat is a Winter Grain which needs 5 or 6 Days to grow, it gives you 10 Contribution Points or so, if you make the Milk/Sourcream/Oxygala out of them you don't have a Contribution loss like an Eggplant :-P ^^

Baba ganoush is my favorite, because both plants regrow and if you can plant a lot you'll have enough of it to make food for ages.

Best Tomato can be turned into Juice that gives 44 Stamina. By the end of Summer I had over 300 tomatoes. Basically an infinite supply of stamina food.

Personally Cheap quick catch fish and making roast fish from them is what works best for me. especially if u use any left over stamina at the end of the day. Roast fish is like 38+ stamina i think?

My favorite effort-to-return is plain tortillas. One ingredient (Corn) that grows pretty fast in fall.

Personally i been using the seaweed dish once beach is unlocked, it only uses 1 seaweed and they respawn often enough to keep supply up.

On the first year best deal is to plant as many Eggplant + Sesame as you can to make Babaganoush. Good stamina replenish around 75, easy ingredients and most important: no need to spend time to prepare ingredients (say hello to tomato juice with it's "one hour of game time to squish 12 units", which limits the amount of food you can produce per day)
Later wheat bread becomes more efficient - 1 flour for 100+ stamina but you need to grind flour manually.
Also 1 flour + 1 tomato gets you Spaghetti with even same stamina as bread and some ore drop increase.
Another excellent option is 1 lentils + 1 fennel for 160 stamina (no manual labor involved)
Plain tortilla made from 1 corn for 80 stamina is also a good choice.

I just use Spaghetti Using just tomato and wheat flour, It recovers ~ 120 stamina and gives, on Perfect quality, ~+10 boost to Ore.

Almost forgot about chutney! Plant lots of chillies, they are multiple harvest plants, they grow 14 days then bring peppers every 3 days and it's summer + fall. If you water them every day and pick as soon as they ripe you can theoretically get 14 pepper per plant a year.
(14 days of summer for vegetation phase and 14 summer +28 fall = 42 days / 3 = 14 times harvest)
Sun dry half of them and then use one dried + one fresh to make Omega Chutney for 138 stamina recovery per 2 chilies.

100% wheat bread. 1 flour for 152 stamina (good quality). Once you have wheat streamlined, just make a fork load of that and you're golden.
