Also you are going a little too hard at farming especially on your first year. In order to really progress your ability to farm you need get that next upgrade on the watering can. Even then though, use it as a way to add more time the mines until you unlock a better way to water larger amounts of crops. What's bogging you down is that you are pushing heavily into things that can be automated with progress in the mines and ideas with the village.
If you want to you could also ditch the bison and the llama. They give fur which your boars do already anyway. Atm I've got 3 large barns with about 8 animals in each and I do them first thing in the morning like Psykout said, because its easier to "talk" to them while they're gathered up. And then later when they're all out in the paddock I hit them all with the flute where it reaches all of them.
Progression is definitely key early on. You want to be unlocking ideas, trying new processing stations, getting deeper in the mines etc.
Don't like the Friendship System in eithe Games too, just equip the Charming Amulet for the People. its one of the few Accessoires, where you can feel the Difference, just having it equipped and talking to people when i see them got me already on 6-7 Hearts in mid Fall Year 1
If i'm feeling Generous, i hand out a few of my 10 Contribution Value Sesame or
