Seaweed?

Seaweed is a gather-able on the beach. Not entirely sure what seasons, maybe all? I know for a fact you can get it in either summer or fall, but I forget which since I don't go to the beach often. (maybe both?) I'm pretty sure it was summer, though.

I started seeing Seaweed on the beaches on Autumn.

You can also get seaweed by fishing for sponges in the beach area. Everytime you catch a sponge you also get one seaweed at the same time, which is great at the start of the game. You can dry the sponge and use it for Contribution Points and use the seaweed to make a nice salad.
Take into account that sponges are a "low level catch", so you need to use the starting knife or they won't appear (I think).

Seaweed is a gatherable at the beach during fall and winter. Once spring rolls around, it stops appearing.
