Put your Contribution Farming tips here:
So far the most useful thing I have discovered is that sun drying is definitely better than smoking. At least, for fish. I'm at a loss though, beyond fish contribution seems to take a life time to grind out, and I'm at a point of the game where I need prosperity almost 10k higher to be able to do any quests.

Process the animal product (milk) to get "contribution" point. DO NOT cook with it thinking you will make more points from the dish...I have been there and it hurts. My poor cheese!!!!!!

fermenting>drying>smoking, so far. I haven't looked at juicing vs fermenting yet but I think juice is higher? It's more time consuming while everything else is passive though.

more crops that have higher knowledge have pretty decent contribution points.
dried fish is by far the easiest to gain points especially if you have the sea open.
animal produce is fairly decent even the subproducts, never make food it seems to not go for much.

if you have managed to unlock the pickler implement the produce go for atleast 150 points, also once you have the right tools you can get atleast 5k points per day just cave mining and contribute everything you get

Interesting. I wonder if there are some hidden skill values? Because I remember testing drying vs smoking at the start of the game, and smoking was better, but now drying is. Conversely, you're saying that fermenting is the best of all 3, but in my testing it's the absolute worst.

Though it might depend WHAT you're fermenting? But fermenting fish gives substantially less, for me. (Less than just selling the fish raw, iirc)

Problem I'm having with that is I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the owl statue, and now I'm having trouble progressing it. I need a carrot, but it's summer. I've been slowly testing other root vegtables to see if anything else will work lol.

What do you need the carrot for? Depending on your game progress you can get out of season crops in a couple places/ways.

Is it a carrot, or just a "root" veggie? For some reason I thought it was root and not carrot.

afaik it's root veggies, yeah. I'm currently waiting for Sweet Potato to grow and hoping that will cover the requirement.

I highly recommend producing Hay Bales once you can. They're worth 30 contribution each and you can easily mass-gather the fiber needed in the Savanna. It's less tedious than doing fishing; you can more or less just go afk while you're mass-producing hay after you spend a few minutes swiping the Savanna with your scythe.

Can usually get between 2,500-4,000 per run if I spend the day on it.

Don't have haybells unlocked yet, but I'll give it a try when I get it. :)

Any root will work, you can also use mandrake root you get in the savannah for it.

incorrect, has to be a "root vegtable". Mandranke distinctly does NOT work, I've actually already tried it haha.
