How to reach Cave Lions?

There are some Cave Lions in the Savanna on an unreachable Plateau. How do I get up there to tame one?

You don't.
Some days they are down in the savannah and reachable for the player.
Open your map in savannah or switch to it when you are somewhere else and you can see where the lions are and if they are reachable that day or not.
