The trick of the room is finding the right torches to light first, because lighting a torch will let you come from a different path and now you'll be able to smash rocks to move forwards. You just do this like 3 times and then make your way back up towards the beginning to get your prize
You also don't need bear claws or anything special. The place where you used them to break through is one of the easiest places you could have found coming around up over the top and then all the way around the room.
I merely offered the solution that worked for me. If there's another way to do it that's great.
So instead of helping someone you choose to be an ass. You are such a cool person.
But again, as I told the other person, don't go making someone feel stupid for not figuring out something you could. I asked for help because I was struggling. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Where did you find the "M" painting? Still searching for it.
1. 1 room down from the Horse room
2. 2 rooms down from the Monkey room
3. Southeast room from Stomp Your Feet
Perhaps you can help by being more clear about a step which was apparently so easy for you that you didn't notice it might be difficult:
How does one navigate to the West exit?
I have spent several real-life hours trying to reach *anything* in this room, especially the West exit, since it is completely blocking my game progress. I have gathered enough gems to craft the accessory which increases torch light (no help), I've played in a pitch black room with my brightness cranked up (nothing to see), with the volume up (can't discern what the puddles are trying to communicate; they don't seem to lead anywhere), and bumped up and down and left and right against every surface I can locate in this cave without success. I haven't reached the torches, the spirit guides, or the exit. I've passed out in the cave at least 20 times, spending at least half a day in there each time, and increasingly spending entire days there from morning until 2AM. I hate this room. I have explored literally every other accessible part of the cave this side of the Horse Totem, solved Owl & Monkey without slowing down, and at this point am beginning to hate this entire game because the hatred I have for this room is leaching out and ruining the rest of the experience.
I can't get copper or tin until I solve this room. I have to water all my crops with a bucket until I solve this room. I haven't pushed the limits of *every other prophecy* yet to test it, but I'm pretty sure I can't unlock Chickens to unlock what is required for the Horse Totem until I solve this room. But to the people who found the exit easily, it was so easy they can't imagine anyone not finding it, and when anyone else comes in saying they have a problem the only people who can help assume they're having a problem with the lighting-torches puzzle, not the find-the-exit puzzle.
Edit to add: I finally found someone who could help.
After completing the Monkey challenge, in a room two (2) rooms West of the Beach entrance, there is a Northern exit not marked on the map. I had traversed the room several times, broken many rocks, but apparently never broken *enough* rocks to open the Northern door--and the fact it wasn't marked on the map was a major misdirection for me. I was easily able to progress from there to the Cloud Garden and back around to the West entrance of Stomp Your Feet.
Currently paused just after reaching that room, so not sure how difficult it will actually be from there. Since just walking into the darkness is stressing me out at this point, I'll probably come back some time after getting copper tools and passing the room North of Clouds Garden. Anything but this stupid dark room.
You need to enter Stomp your Feet from the right. Go down, take the first right, down again, and light the torch that's to the left of the portal/warp point for Stomp your Feet. Go all the way up, and on your left is another torch. Go up from there and take the left fork, keep going left until you get to another torch. Double back to the previous torch, and take the fork on the right. Go up until there are stairs on the left. Go left all the way, then up, take the stairs on the right and go up, there is another torch. Go back to the room you entered Stomp your Feet by, that enters going right into Stomp your Feet. Go up, take the stairs on the right, take the next stairs down, then take the stairs on the right, follow the footprints up, and you'll find the last torch. Click on the feet paintings on the wall and you'll get 700 contribution points and finish the f-ing room from hell.
When you get to the room from the left entrance, you don't go up you hug the right wall, then you go down, you will see a giant double purple mushroom, go right and down you will find the first torch lit it to have a shortcut to the STOMP YOUR FEET TP, then back to the mushroom go right and up, another torch with a shortcut to the right to go back in the meat of the cave and to the left and up another torch, i think that from here is just going back to places you already looked before but didn't have the light so is just following paths put i can put the rest of the solution if anyome needs
Rest of the solution
From where i left off, in the torch just up of the double purple mushrooms, now take the right path up, hug left wall, until you go up the stairs continue going left then you will be able to see the torch you lit before allowing you to beak the path and go up the next set of stairs to get to the next torch with the yellow armadillo, now go back from where you came, and where you first got up the stairs now go up until you reach the giant mushroom take a right, and up until you can only go left or right, take a left in here, go down on the stairs, go left, up the stairs now you should be able to open the path to go up and get ya maney
You can give the monkey the final item without seeing the painting, I was frustrated on trying to find it so I finally looked it up and tried it. It works.
