Hardwood trees?

All the sites/walkthroughs/discussions say the Beach palm trees give Hardwood but they only give me wood. How do you get hardwood for the bucket?

The trees around your house give hardwood.
The darker ones with round canopy

Yeah, the trees with brown trunk around the village give hardwood. The ones with white trunk give regular wood. I found this out by mistake after I got annoyed I couldn't find any hardwood on the beach and the savanah.

I think you might have to upgrade to the obsidian axe to chop down the hardwood trees but I could be wrong

Friend and I were able to chop the home trees with just the Flint Axe. :)

I added a few updates to the wiki to make it clear that the coconut and palm trees drop wood. If anyone remembers what some of the other trees drop, please feel free to add! (Or comment here) I don't really want to go around chopping down the fruit trees to find out because I want them for fruit.

For hardwood you have the larger trees on The Land and the bigger ones on the Savanna.
