Magic Hand axe?

Has anyone actually gotten their hands on the new magic hand axe? I'm curious as to what it actually does?

I just got it and unless I am missing something it just cuts through all of the debris. Which was a bit disappointing. I thought it would somehow obliterate debris within a certain range, or something but oh well. It looks pretty at least :p

So you mean like stone wood and grass all at once right like the normal hand axe? Does it work better or worse then the fully upgraded tools?

Yes it cuts through small debris (stone, wood and grass) with one hit but the bigger boulders for example still require more hits. I have honestly cleared the field faster with my regular tools. Especially since the bronze scythe can cut grass on up to 9 tiles.

For big boulders or tree stumps, the magic handaxe takes four hits whereas a fully upgraded axe or hammer will take three. But you don't need to constantly change from one tool to the other with the magic handaxe, so that's a gain. And small debris will only take one hit. Personnally, I find it useful when you have a huge area to clear, especially for the first days of spring. (aka my worst nightmare...)

I is great to clean the fields after new year/ winter. Or even to collect stone and flint on the first chambers of the caves.
Basically it is better than the handaxe because it CAN obliterate any debri, including big stones and stumps, but it is not as stamina eficient as the last version of those tools.

Example: Some trees falls down with 5 hits of the axe and rock with 3 of the hammer, but the magic handaxe would need 6 and 4 hits instead for both.

You need to finish exploring the caves. After that, wait for a few days and you should have a message telling you that Acre got an idea for a new tool.
