Animals and disease

I have now reached the maximum number of stalls(12). All kinds of animals captured, torn away from their families and subjugated. Of course, I am also currently tracking down all rare and legendary animals.

What I find really annoying is that I have to talk to all the animals every day because otherwise they tend to get sick, which is even more annoying.

How do you do that?

Just walk up to them and click on them every morning while having anything except the flute equipped (because it overrides the default "pet animal" command).

(Needing to pay attention to animals daily is a normal thing for this type of farming sim so there is no getting away from it. Stardew Valley had the auto-petter which could maintain your animals once you'd gotten them to max loyalty but that's not really on theme for this game).
