Isn't it too hard to get AO crystals?

It takes me 4 runs on average to just get "bring home 10 crystals" for daily missions. Yes I'm using weather gazer. I keep finding empty crystal sites or someone's gotten to a crystal site slightly faster than me and started mining it. Or, you know, someone starts shooting at me and I'm forced to purge to escape and maybe still blow up anyway.

Man they really need to make the jackbox a lot faster or something? The only good thing about it is that its free but if you can't make it back home it doesn't matter.
