What is the point of "chassis parts"?

I have a ton of these. I figured they would eventually be used in crafting but this does not seem to be the case. Is there any point in me holding onto these or should I sell them?

I saved them until I maxed crafting but now that I've done that there still seems to be no use for them.

If u mean frame , blue frame like birdwatcher or spider can be sell for some money, surprisingly this game have quite a number of useless material, i.e those blue barrel and special ammo module...

Blue barrel/ammo are used for crafting rare lvl weapons for BM or ASS. But yah the frames.. I have not seen these useable as of yet (completing A-class, crafting to lvl 5)

You can use them to craft the purple versión, you need a purple one to craft a pieces, so 3 purples for chest arm and leg.

You need lots for purple

Yah it's funny right after I posted this I finished the first mission in East-Amasia and the purple crafting chassis were a reward lol.

Yah I just unlocked the recipes that need them today. Once you finish your A-licence and move to East Amasia it's pretty much unlocked right away.

they are used to craft (cradle) frame Mk2, a purple item used to make purple frames. completely not worth it because it takes more than 27x the resources and money to make a purple. purple rabbit arms take around 3-4 million to make and thats if you have the resources and not buying anything, they sell for like 1.2 million and thats what you will get back in insurance. running a full purple cradle setup (not guns) will cost you around 400k a raid for insurance. hope you can make that much in a raid soon.

I would think that would mean that they take way more damage and move crazy fast?

Useful information. I guess at the moment this game only encourage blue tier at most since the mining could cover the cost ....

Based on how it worked pre-/post- Season 1, it seems like they want the highest rarity Cradle available in a Class to be prohibitively expensive to run with insurance. I suspect that if we get Legendary (gold rarity) Cradles, we'll also get a map where walking away with 400k is a mediocre mining run.

I dont think the base concept of the game is that you can alway make back what you spend. The game very much feels like Green is the sweet spot. But it also means you are easy picking for Blue and up rarity users. So purple really is luxury or you are super cracked at TPS games so you kill anything in a fight even when outnumbered.
