Reloading into the Same Map
man this feels like the Cycle: Frontiers already when people keep coming back to map 3 from death, maybe it's how few players there are but if you die or extract and go back fast enough, you get to be back in the same server,

One game I went jack box and killed 2 other BM on my way to extraction, couldn't carry all their cradle parts so I left one set along, I match again and go back to the scene of incident right after extraction and guess what, the corpses are still there.

Another game I jumped another BM who had a grenade launcher and switched to his gear, on my way to extraction, the same dude actually came back to revenge in a whole set of blue birdwatch and a full auto shotty, he came straight at me but I managed to defeat him again using his own grenade launcher and a landmine,

and it's all the same people I see across the board, it's quite a filtered audience a few days into launch isn't it?

I just hope this "respawn and revenge" won't be happening too often

not enough players
I've noticed that it happens most frequently during off hours (like right now, for NA at least).
I got PK'd the other day in my insured green spider, and thankfully he left my parts so the only thing I lost was that blue auto shotgun that I was testing out anyway (and it was trash).

I thought this was just how the game worked. It allows you to get back to the scene of a death and collect your stuff again like lots of extraction shooters.

Nope. Part of the reason some of the earlier players left is that it's completely random. Sometimes I'll die and load back into the same map, sometimes I'll load into a different one (easy to see because of the differences in what chests are/aren't open and the lack of my items where I died).

This only would have worked if the game runs on a consistent map, meaning the server won't shutdown even after the players who started the session left. Cycle: Frontier had the same system where when it finishes raining new players will drop into the map to fill the gap of those left, and if you don't leave you get to keep encountering new players.

This is not the case for Tarkov as each session for PMC lasts of like 30-40 mins, afterwards the server shuts down, and PMC will not be able to join an on-going match

I'm not sure of the devs intention for this game because the Cycle seem to have done it intentionally, since the mechanic makes it you have more reward if you stay in the rain, but would also face greater risk because new players will drop in after.

This game doesn't seem to have a mechanic in place and you are even punished for over-staying because your battery is limited

There was one time I died where I respwaned and went to my death site and found nothing, looted the area extracted and re-sortied to find my death spot still empty. I sortied again having written my stuff off and third time was the charm I just happened to spawn near my death site so I figured I would check it again and low and behold there was my wreckage with all my items still there. The PvPer did not even take anything after they killed me. Its so random which server is slots you into.

I think you should get one re-sortie to attempt to get your stuff back but then get locked out of that server until it refreshes the map.
If this thing of appearing right on the same map where I just died has happened to me often, at least I was able to recover part of my gear...but it's because the game has very few players, for example right now steamdb only shows 741 players...quite sad honestly
