Only 2 Small maps?

Can anyone confirm the map only consist of 2 only? And with few extraction points, i can imagine encounter other players like very frequent?

I think there will either be 3 or 6 deployable zones. When you look at one of the screens that show a bandit player's recent sightings (from the hangar), there are 3 selections. One is a map that shown both a north and south of the map we have now. Then there are 2 more selections that you scroll through that are full of static.
So either 3 areas - a north, a south, and one that has both.
Or 6 areas - north1, south1, north2, south2, north3, south3.

Whenever you spawn into a map 3 of many extraction points will be active for you specifically. There are many other extraction points. It seems that each player has three available at random when they join the map.

I've encountered many players at this point. We just awkwardly wave at one another and move on. I even rode the extraction elevator with other players a few times already. There are, of course, hostile players playing the game just for the pvp aspect, but I've yet to encounter any.

The maps are pretty big. I usually run into players but they are friendly so far. Only ran into 2 bandits out of 11 runs so far.
