About the devloper
Game Studio Inc seems like an incredibly generic as ♥♥♥♥ name for a dev to use. Surely, there's no reason to believe that this is from the creators of Ao Oni?

They're a very old company (1985) that has connections to Namco. They have been actively developing games recently, but most were not released outside Japan.

Bandai is a bigger concern, if the game won't do well on actual release then they will kill it off pretty fast.

這讓我想起藍色協定,目前試玩內容讓人聯想到冒險聖歌。:steamfacepalm:

Fortunately, there's several Japanese articles from the devs saying that they added a single player mode to the game so that, even if the servers shut down, there's still a game people can play and that's why you have to buy it. I assume the reason there's a price point at all for a game like this is for the single player game, even though the multiplayer stuff is the main content. In fact, you can't even access the single player stuff until you make enough online game progress according to the devs, although they'll change that if the servers shut down.

The devs insist heavily that they really want the game to be online and the single player stuff is a "future proofing" element in case the servers shut down. It's clear that the main point of the game is multiplayer PvPvE extraction gameplay though.

Personally I'm glad there are plans to keep the game alive even if it becomes super unpopular, so I don't mind buying it. Maybe not the super ultra deluxe whatever stuff, but $40 for a single player anime mecha game isn't that bad.

But isnt this a looter shooter extraction? Like if it looses online it looses its primary game-play in general.

I assume you just looter shooter extraction but against bots, honestly. We already have NPCs like bandits and so on after all. I feel like more people would prefer that since they're terrified at the idea of PVP, but personally I'd miss the friend-or-foe wariness from seeing another player or hearing another cradle nearby.

It also has a single player story and missions.
So those will be available even if the multiplayer aspect is removed.

They just have to make sure that's still playable without having to progress through multiplayer first.

That doesn't gives me that much confidence that the developers trust their end product,,,
Maybe they should fix the issue with PK campers instead,,,
