I've done all of my runs solo so far in the CBT. I've also only encountered a PKer, but it was in the first 30 minutes of the CBT, so he wasn't really a threat, lol. Honestly? I very rarely encounter people (but I do often hear people shooting at enemies or mining).
Huge disappointment..
Yeah, no... If your PC is running this game at 30fps or lower than that, you must be trying to run it on a Google Chromebook or something, lol. The requirements aren't even close to being high, even for a mid-tier PC.
Admittedly though, there is a slight stutter when you first encounter artifacts and stuff because the game doesn't come with a compiler for the shaders, weirdly enough. So yeah, just expect to encounter a slight delay whenever you see new stuff, then it's fine afterwards because it stores it in the cache.
Also, the whole "you played one, you played them all" doesn't exactly work here because there's not another mecha extraction shooter game on the market at the moment, lol. Some people may not like extraction shooters, but may like mechs, so they'll give this a try. Anyway, PC port runs fine, as I said before. Only stuttering I've encountered so far has been from graphics loading in, but that's expected since they didn't include a compiler (hope the full game does though).
Died only three times, one of memory leak (the game needs some more optimization) once from the parasite enders in cradle coffins and once from some weird ultra worms that have flashy underbelly and those were camping for me near some ultra shiny AO crystal packet.
Except as pointed out, there is no co-op mode, you will be playing on your own for the most part, you just share the area with other people who can either kill you or ignore you
Not the developers fault you incorrectly assume single player means you get everything to yourself lol
A game does not need to be coop to be an MP game. That is the reason why multiplayer and coop are separate tags.
Honestly not sure why they went with extraction shooter genre, the setting absolutely doesn't seem to fit it in my opinion. Feels like they are just chasing a trend, which they will most likely fail at like so many other who have tried to dethrone Tarkov. Not that i think Tarkov is that interesting either, but again, extraction shooters ain't my cup of tea.
From watching the anime, I was kinda hoping for RPG, or at least shooter with RPG mechanics.
